Joanne Brindley

Joanne Brindley was a Dental Nurse prior to completing a Diploma in Dental Hygiene and a Diploma in Dental Therapy at the London Hospital Medical College in 1994. Following this, she worked in primary and secondary care settings before joining the teaching team at the University of Portsmouth in 2006. Joanne was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education (2009), an MA in Learning and Teaching (2011) and a Professional Doctorate in Health Science (her thesis, which was completed in 2018, was an illuminative evaluation of the use and relevance of reflective practice in undergraduate dental education). Externally, Joanne is a GDC Education Associate and Registration Assessor.
