Karen Suarez

Karen Suarez has over 35 years of experience in the sector. As Practice Manager for a busy mixed general practice, she leads on clinical governance, regulatory compliance, recruitment, and training. Karen has national roles as a Specialist Professional Advisor for the CQC and an Assessor for the BDA’s Good Practice Scheme. Karen’s has published work on oral health for the Nursing Times and also has delivered training sessions for the BDA and NEBDN.

Karen is a Presiding Examiner and Subject Matter Expert for the NEBDN and serves on its Curriculum Steering Committee, contributing to assessment development, examiner training, and the writing of OSCE stations. Her governance experience includes senior roles on school boards, where she is responsible for safeguarding, disciplinary panels, and recruitment.
